Hello! I'm Anna, a Brisbane-based artist and surface pattern designer behind Girl and the Deep Blue Sea. I create colourful patterns that reflect the incredible diversity and beauty of the ocean, beaches, and tropics.

After working for years as an ecologist, I followed a more creative path and now spend my days using nature's colours, textures, and movement as inspiration for vibrant designs.

My favourite place to be is outdoors, especially at the beach or snorkelling a coral reef, gathering inspiration for my next unique design to feature on premium custom-milled textiles!
