Printed bamboo lycra by the metre
Bamboo lycra is the softest knit we print on. It is cool against the skin, drapes heavily and stretches four ways, which makes it a favourite for sleepwear, baby rompers, flowy tees and nursing-friendly tops. Every one of our prints is available on it.
Bamboo lycra or cotton lycra?
Choose bamboo for softness and drape (tees, pyjamas, baby wear). Choose cotton lycra for structure and opacity (leggings, fitted dresses, hoodies).

Bamboo lycra FAQs
Is bamboo lycra see-through?
Lighter and drapier than cotton lycra, so it is best for tops, dresses and sleepwear rather than leggings. Choose Knit 220 or 260 cotton lycra for leggings.
How should I wash it?
Cold wash on a gentle cycle and line dry in the shade to keep it soft and the print bright.
How does pre-order fabric work?
Every design is printed to order. Pick your design and fabric base, order before the round closes (the 15th or the last day of the month), and your fabric is printed in the next run and posted 4–6 weeks after the close. Flat-rate shipping is $14.95 Australia-wide no matter how much you order.
How is the fabric sold?
In 0.5 metre units, cut as one continuous length, so 4 units is 2 metres in one piece. There is no minimum beyond half a metre.
